El Molcajete Mexican Restaurant

I absolutely loved this restaurant! The food was great! The service was amazing, and the restaurant was so clean. They really went above and beyond to create a great experience. I can’t recommend this place enough!! We got the steak fajitas and the chicken mole enchiladas. Yum!

We pulled into the Golden Corral parking lot for our Thanksgiving day meal and there was a line out the door. We proceeded to google restaurants close by that were open and we saw that El Molcajete was. We had never been there, but everyone in the family loves Mexican food, so we decided to give it a try. We are so glad that we did! As soon as you walk in the door, you are greeted visually with a colorful atmosphere. We were promptly seated and given chips and salsa. The chips were warm and the salsa was excellent. Everyone ordered something different and everyone loved their meals. The Fajitas were very flavorful and they were generous with the portions. The Chimichanga was on point. The cheese enchiladas were a nice flavor combination. The torta had soft bread and was full of fresh ingredients. The horchata was the best we have ever had and the margaritas were huge and refreshing. The staff was great and attentive. We have found our new favorite Mexican restaurant and will definitely be back!

I’m from out of town and wasn’t sure if I could get decent Mexican food in the area but this place delivered. The steak ranchero plate was great and the staff was kind, I accidentally left my card after paying and the guy ran it out to me as I was pulling out of the parking spot. 5/5 on all fronts from me.

Wow! We are Mexican food snobs and this is our favorite in so many ways. Please don’t go though. It will get too crowded. And don’t try the pastor pina because I don’t want the word getting out that that it’s better flavor than Tucanos. I want to just enjoy the relaxed atmosphere with excellent service and generous portions. Seriously we were so happy to find this place. Thanks Molcajete people!

Came on a Saturday night for dinner and we were seated right away. Our server was excellent, provided great recommendations, and seemed to really appreciate his job.We started with the complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were served warm and had a nice seasoning on them. I loved the salsa and the freshness of the onion and cilantro!Our server recommended the Suizas chicken enchiladas and the chimichanga. I ordered the enchiladas and my husband ordered the carne asada chimichanga. The food came out fairly fast! I was definitely impressed with the enchiladas. They were packed full of chicken! The corn tortillas and the sauce went together so well. The green sauce was extremely flavorful-I really enjoyed it. The beans were pretty authentic and tasty. I though they were great. My husband said his chimichanga was the best he’s ever had at a restaurant. The tried it and it was delicious. The meat was tender and very flavorful.Overall, wonderful experience and delicious food. So glad this restaurant is in the valley! It all tasted really fresh and authentic. We enjoyed it very much and can’t wait to go back again soon!

This is one of the BEST Mexican restaurants in Utah county. Our group of 4 all decided this was our new favorite restaurant.

This place never misses with the great quality of food. The food tastes fresh every time. My wife and I come at least once a month. The staff is SUPER nice and friendly, and we’ve never had issues with the food we’ve ordered. This place never seems to be packed, even on a Friday night. The atmosphere is cute and charming with murals and decorations. Clean tables.
